The Jack of Hearts Foundation - Helping Hearts Grow!

About Us - How It Works

The Jack of Hearts Foundation will begin funding research studies in 2008. The scientific and clinical studies to be funded will be selected by the distinguished Medical Advisory Board, consisting of medical professionals specializing in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.

Grant applications received from researchers in the field will be scored by the Medical Advisory Board based upon a number of criteria, including significance of the research to single ventricle patients, study design and methods, viability, and specific aims. Each study will be awarded a maximum of $100,000, and will be funded for a period not to exceed two years. Those studies offering the most promise will be selected for funding.

The Jack of Hearts Foundation does not receive any government funding. We rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters.
